I was actually looking for information on how to bullet proof my home and the book title seemed to have all of the correct words.I quickly discovered this book wasn't about bullet proofing homes, but rather its about making inexpensive personal body armor.I have enjoyed this book and it has actually expanded my thoughts about bullet proofing my house.I liked the authors writing style, including the bits of humor.
I would have never thought to try and make something bulletproof. The I read this. Before it was almsot like witchcraft or something, but the author open up how I view this subject. I'm looking forward to future and expanded versions of this book.
Great book, some interesting ideas.... maybe start my own project soon. ;) i would like more information on kevlar, spectra and some of the newer materials available today, how they work in theory. But overall great read.

The author apparently put a lot of time into his discoveries but what he came up with does not seem practical for me.
A perfect start for someone looking to be a supplier or safety enthusiast.Easy to understand and test at home.
The most interesting non- fiction book that I've read in a while. Very informative and the author's witty voice keeps it from being boring. With the number of idiots packing guns around these days a bit of armor is a pretty good idea. Steve, thank you for your service and your continued dedication to protecting others.
